The Home of Interiors - eCommerce Website
An interior design business rebranded to increase their range and needed a new ecommerce website to integrate their new style.
We worked with them to:
- Understand their requirements for the new online shop
- Design a beautiful website that seamlessly worked with their new brand
- Built an easy to use system that allowed them to undertake all steps required to sell online
The Home of Interiors is a leading business based in the UK that helps its customers to make their home beautiful. Originally called Poles 2 U, they primarily specialise in a range of curtain poles and other window interior products.
As the company grew, more opportunities presented themselves and as a result their product offering began to expand. Recognising this trend, the team at Poles 2 U realised that their name was niche to their range of curtain poles and would make it difficult to add new ranges successfully. This is why they concluded that a new brand would be introduced under the name of The Home of Interiors. As part of this process, they identified the need to create a new website which would represent their brand and their offering comprehensively online.
Based on our background in helping similar businesses to launch successful ecommerce websites, we were asked to help with this project. They briefed us to create a clean and simple site so that customers can easily browse products, select options based on their desired item and seamlessly purchase them ready for delivery. The new site would also need to incorporate the new brand, allow for online payments to be made and facilitate the team at The Home of Interiors to manage information such as order details, customer data and stock levels.
Given the scope of this project, we were really excited to get started. Our initial research phase allowed us to detail all the requirements of the online shop and create a plan that would ensure that we hit them all.
With usability and functionality at its heart, we designed a beautiful website representing the new brand in a concise way and then built in tools that would make the site a crucial part of business success. These tools allowed The Home of Interiors team to take online payments, as well as manage all orders, customer data and information, registered users, postage options and stock levels with ease.
To increase visibility and boost sales via the site we also ensured that it linked to Google Shopping, Amazon and enabled barcode recognition.
